Head of Game Production / Live Ops

Who We Are

We’re building a next-generation browser-based MMORPG — system-driven, content-rich, and scaling fast. We’ve raised $10M in funding, we have an active community (25k+ Discord) and a deeply unique vision that’s pushing the boundaries of multiplayer game design. We ship weekly content updates, and build fast.

  • Won the Discord App Pitch 2024.
  • Over 15k WAUs in early-access.
  • Localised and played in over 30 countries,
  • 3 years into production.
  • 100+ hours of playable content already live.
  • Shipping weekly updates with a lean team.
  • Built fully in-house, no outsourced dev.

But here’s the truth:

We’re an ambitious, fast-moving studio building something with real scale. The vision is big, the ideas are flowing, and the world is coming to life, but we need someone to tie it all together.

Right now, we have incredible people doing great work across systems, story, art, and live features — but what we’re missing is the glue. The person who makes sure everyone knows why they’re doing what they’re doing, how it all connects, and what we’re building toward as one team.

We need someone to turn vision into velocity. Someone who can bring clarity to chaos, install systems that help us scale, and drive momentum without slowing creativity down.

The Mission

We’re looking for a Head of Production / LiveOps who can own execution across the company.
You’ll architect the entire production and live ops system — how we plan, track, and ship. You’ll have full ownership of process, cadence, and accountability across the org.
Your job is to turn chaos into cadence. You’ll report directly to the founder/CEO, work alongside creative leadership, and be the person who makes sure content ships every week — on time, at quality, no excuses.

You’ll be given full autonomy to build structure:

  • Project kickoffs
  • Cross-functional stand-ups
  • LiveOps roadmap
  • Sprint rituals
  • Scope escalation controls
  • QA process
  • Delivery tracking systems
  • Content pipelines
  • Company culture

What You’ll Own

  • Production Systems: Implement the playbook that takes a task from idea → review → production → shipped.
  • Scope Control: Install a clear process for escalation — no more bloated side quests that become surprise features.
  • LiveOps Cadence: Create a weekly/biweekly release rhythm for quests, dungeons, content, systems, events with the design team.
  • Team Clarity: Ensure everyone knows who owns what, when it’s due, and what ‘done’ means.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Art, narrative, design, tech, QA — all rowing in sync.
  • Linear Roadmap: Ensure the roadmap is clear and on track.

Who You Are

  • Senior production leader from a high-functioning team (games, MMO, system-heavy product, or live SaaS).
  • Have shipped large-scale content across multiple departments — you know how to coordinate art, audio, tech, design.
  • Proven in LiveOps, fast content delivery, and maintaining consistent feature releases.
  • You thrive in high-trust, high-candor environments — and you’re not afraid to challenge decisions if it protects execution.
  • Obsessed with repeatability, automated systems, clarity, and execution excellence.
  • Comfortable holding others to account — and being held to account yourself.
  • Proactively investigating how AI can speed up pipelines, improve communication and automate systems.
  • Able to work in GMT timezone.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with systemic progression, quests, or narrative content pipelines.
  • You’ve worked in games/studios like: RuneScape, Supercell, Riot, Genshin, or similar MMO/Live service games.
  • You’ve rebuilt a broken team or delivered in a messy org — and got results anyway.
  • You’ve written or enforced a “definition of done” doc that actually changed how a team shipped.
  • You think the traditional studio is flawed, you think you can do it better.

🤝 What You Get

  • Autonomy and authority to reshape the company’s delivery culture.
  • Direct access to the CEO and strategic decision-making.
  • A team that is high potential but currently misaligned — your impact will be instant.
  • Our internal live ops tooling lets us build and ship content within the same day — no publishing delays, no external pipelines. To put it bluntly: game design vets have called it the most impressive live ops system they’ve ever seen.
  • Competitive salary - £75,000 – £85,000 + meaningful equity.
  • A chance to help shape one of the most ambitious MMOs being built today.
  • Flexible working arrangement, London in-office and hybrid available on discussion.
