Job Description:
OVERVIEW
The Operations Analyst (OA) is a member of Global Sourcing Operations & Capabilities (GSOC) and will be an integral member, working collaboratively with Sourcing Buyers and Category leaders, the broader GSOC organization, and also cross-functionally (i.e. Digital & Technology). As an OA, you will deploy standard operations, tools & processes by appropriately matching resources to support business priorities and drive results. Depending on the area of support, you may be partnering with both external suppliers and internal partners to support overall Sourcing initiatives. Strong communication, project management and change management/influence skills are imperative to lead stakeholders from customized processes to standard process. You will participate in governing standard process through reporting, analytics, and Source to Pay process support or project management.
Each role is unique and allows the OA to contribute and develop in their own meaningful ways. Category specific support, broad initiative support and training of small teams may be required.
General Mills will hire for multiple GSOC OA roles. Hiring Managers will assess capability, fit and motivation when considering candidate for one of the three areas – Indirect, Direct, and Sourcing Vision.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analytics:

Track, report, and assess key category/function and user metrics

Ad hoc reporting and support of engagement in tool usage
- Data health and accuracy maintenance and continuous improvement

Potential RFP preparation and results analysis
Process Support:
-
Perform analysis and testing for new/updated processes
-
Identify and track process optimization opportunities
-
Educate or train stakeholders on standard processes and capabilities
Category Support:
-
Purchase to Pay support including new product/vendor set ups, forecasting, contract and price management, payment terms and process support (Direct/Indirect roles)

Supplier relationship management support including supply issue and liability/risk resolution, performance management tracking, and operational support (Direct/Indirect roles)

Demonstrate proficiency in key/appropriate Sourcing systems – SAP, Tableau, go/buy, Coupa, Maximo, etc
Business Alignment:

Provide subject matter expertise on Source to Pay process, standards, and capabilities

Identification of role clarity and automation opportunities
The key stakeholders this position will be interacting with are the Buyers and Category Managers in the Sourcing Platforms, the Sourcing Operations team, key stakeholders in the business teams, and D&T (Sourcing Vision role(s)).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree -Preferably Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Management, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
