Document Processing Specialist

Responsibilities:
Reporting to: Assistant Director for Admissions Operations

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking a Document Processing Specialist to work in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, scan, and index undergraduate admissions-related documents for prospective students into a readable electronic format.
• Provide direct supervision of staff and student workers with document imaging responsibilities.
• Work closely with recruitment and credentials staff in providing required images in an effective and efficient manner.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
• May be required to work evenings and weekends for admissions related events.
• Assist with the application upload process.
• Will be assigned special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• An Associate’s degree and at least three years of document imaging responsibility
• OR a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of direct imaging responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication ability
• Proficiency in modern computer skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Student information systems experience
• A willingness to work non-traditional hours.
