Office Host (PT)

The Connections Team is looking for a part-time Office Host to create a hospitable and welcoming environment for all guests who call Southland or enter the front office at the Nicholasville Campus.

• Ensure the front office is opened and closed according to the posted hours, and help ensure proper communication for other times it is closed (all staff events, holidays, etc)
• Maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere in the front desk area.
• Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and delegate the placement of each call.
• Greet and serve all guests entering the office during open office hours.
• Keep up-to-date with Southland ministries, campuses, events, resources, and staff roles in order to effectively answer questions and connect people to their next steps.
• Connect callers/guests with pastoral or financial needs to the appropriate resources at Southland and in the community.
• Recruit, lead, and train a volunteer team who can substitute at the front desk.
• Organize and maintain a clean office and desk area.
• Receive mail and package deliveries.
• Ensure that hourly time slots are covered in the event of absence or vacation.
• Inventory and refill the front office coffee and water station.
• Assist other ministry areas with tasks that can be completed as needed at the front desk.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday from 1:00pm-5:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm
