SpaceX is on the forefront of making life on Mars a reality, and as a Lead Structures Technician (Composites Assembly & Integration) on the 2nd shift, you will play a pivotal role in this exciting endeavor! In this position, you will lead a committed team of 8-10 technicians, performing crucial bonding and drilling operations. Your day-to-day will be dynamic: maintaining the daily work schedule, updating build plans, and ensuring everyone's aligned with the tasks at hand. Your hands-on experience will come into play as you perform various tasks including interstage routing, bonding, sanding, and integration. Safety is paramount at SpaceX, and you will lead by example, adhering to 5S policies while helping your team overcome any production blockers. Additionally, you will conduct briefings at shift start, manage resources effectively, and assist in developing production processes to enhance our yields. You are expected to have a solid background, with at least three years of experience in a high-reliability operating environment, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
