Mechanical Engineer (Crew Starship)

SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. As a Mechanical Engineer on the Crew Starship team, you will design and build spacecraft systems critical for future astronauts' success and safety.

Skills

Strong mechanical design and analysis experience
Leadership skills within an engineering or project team
Ability to use data for fast data-driven decisions
Knowledge of aerospace or aviation industries

Responsibilities

Own design and development of structures, mechanisms, or interior systems for Crew Starship vehicles
Perform hand calculations and FEA to optimize designs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external parties like NASA
Lead design reviews and negotiate trade studies

Education

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
