Sr. Counsel, Privacy and Security

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Counsel for Privacy and Security to manage compliance with global data protection laws for the Starlink broadband internet business. The candidate will serve as a legal representative and focus on data privacy issues.

Skills

Expertise in privacy law
Strong understanding of cybersecurity regulations
Knowledge of telecommunications regulations
Experience in managing compliance programs

Responsibilities

Advise on compliance with data privacy and data security laws
Manage incident/breach responses
Collaborate with in-house teams on data management compliance
Provide guidance on lawful intercept and data security requirements
Monitor best practices in information governance and cybersecurity
Respond to inquiries from privacy and security regulators
Communicate and train employees on privacy and security issues
Negotiate data privacy and security provisions
