Special Security Representative

Key Role:

Supports a range of services supporting day-today management and implementation of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) to include classified documentation tracking and maintenance, personnel security questionnaire preparation to include conducting prescreening interviews, visit request preparation and control, preparation of courier letters, issuing courier cards, classified meeting coordination, processing of foreign travel and foreign contact information, courier runs, packaging SCI material for shipment, operating classified hardware, SCIF access control, visitor check-in and check-out, scheduling, and reviewing, updating, and implementing SSO regulations, to include those related to SSO processes, Security Education Training and Awareness (SETA), and working directly with the SSO for tasking and approval of completed work efforts and collaboration with process improvement. Supports several SCIFs on base and offsite location to include courier runs processing administrative documentation, implementing physical security requirements and coordination of large symposium or meetings held within SCIFs. Provides recommendations during the construction or modification of SCIF(s) and assist with preparing required documents for physical accreditation, TEMPEST accreditation, and information systems accreditation. Conducts random entry and exit inspections and assist with investigating and documenting any security incidents. Processes all foreign travel and foreign contact forms received by the SSO from Government and contractor personnel with SCI access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with physical and electronic or electrical security systems, physical security requirements, security requirements for protection of U.S. Government Classified information

  • Experience with MS Office products

  • Knowledge of DISS, e-QIP, Scattered Castles and ACCS

  • Knowledge of the U.S. Government security standards of 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM, and Intelligence Community Directives

  • Knowledge of the ICD-705 Technical Specifications, to include, but not limited to, intrusion detection systems, access control devices, TEMPEST requirements, and information systems

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with managing security requirements for DoD and other sensitive security

  • Knowledge of contract and acquisition security practices

  • Ability to be flexible to move from one task to another and be available for a variety of tasks as needs arise

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
