Position Description:
The position is for the department of Campus Recreation. The Sport Program Assistant for Facilities is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of a multi-level campus recreational and fitness facility. Responsibilities of this position shall include, but are not limited to the following; assist the Associate Director on the evaluation, development, implementation and administration of policies and guidelines for the facility, assist with the managing of the facility to insure that all department and facility guidelines and regulations are being followed, the monitoring of access to the facility to insure that only University of Louisville students, faculty, staff and eligible alumni members are given access. Assist with the supervising of student staff including the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision and evaluation of all student staff members. Assist with managing the informal activities space and special event usage for RSO's, Sport Clubs and Intramural events. Perform accurate collection and accounting of appropriate departmental fees. Provide excellent customer service to all participants of the facility. Respond to injuries and illness in accordance with American Heart Association Heart-saver guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
Serve as relief facility supervisor by controlling facility access, handling emergency situations, and enforcing departmental guidelines and procedures.

Assist with weekend supervision of the SRC.

Assist in supervising the SRC student facility staff on weekdays and weekends.

Assist with the coordination of informal activity space and special event usage for RSO's, HSS classes, Sports Clubs, and Intramural events.

Disseminate Intramural and Recreational Sports department information to the university community.

Assist in the coordinating of daily cleaning, maintenance and disinfection of facility and equipment.
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
