The ideal candidate will have expertise in optical physics or photonics, quantum optics, quantum information and technology, or condensed-matter physics, but we welcome outstanding candidates in all areas of physics. The successful candidate will demonstrate a general interest in other areas of research beyond their own. Postdoctoral experience may be an advantage but is not required. Editorial experience is also not required, although applicants with significant editorial experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a Senior Editor position.Role Responsibilities:The successful candidate will report to the Chief Editor of the journal. They will handle original research papers and work both independently and closely with other editors on all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection and overseeing peer review. They will also be involved in the commissioning and editing of Review, Comment, and News & Views articles, as well as writing editorial content for the journal.
