Quality Inspector - Mechanical - Level 1
SQA Services is a leading Supply Chain and Quality Assurance consulting firm specializing in the management of Supplier Audit, Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Remediation programs in the Aerospace/Defense, Semiconductor, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, and Automotive manufacturing industries. Clients leverage our network of quality professionals in more than 50 countries as an extension of their own supplier quality teams.
We are looking for Level 1 Mechanical Inspectors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have quality inspection experience, particularly in the aerospace industry, and must be able to independently validate criteria and perform dimensional inspections.
- Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
- Inspection may include but is not limited to purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings
- Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required
- Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design and specification requirements
- 4+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, aviation, military, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to utilize various precision measurement tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.).
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable design drawings.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately.
- Experience with product verification to design drawing requirements.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities and tasks as delegated.
- Must be willing to undergo background check
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
