Urgently hiring - Level 2 Mechanical Inspector and Quality Specialist
Quality Specialist: Professionals in this role typically have 5 or more years of industry experience and may hold an engineering degree or equivalent experience. They are trained in quality assurance and are well-versed in various tools and techniques used to measure and ensure product quality, including FAIRs, RCCA, Failure Analysis, and the 8D method.
Duration: Full-time, estimated duration of 3 months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Compensation range: $25-35
Position Overview:
We are seeking one or two dedicated Quality Specialists to assist with the backlog of items in the Receiving department. The ideal candidates will manage non-conformance (NC) issues, streamline the ticketing process, and improve communication with suppliers to ensure parts are properly received and processed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Non-Conformances (NCs):
Identify NCs in incoming shipments.
Communicate NCs back to suppliers and manage the resolution process.
Ensure parts are correctly documented and serialized before being accepted into inventory.
Ticketing Process:
Oversee and manage the ticketing process for all incoming shipments.
Track the status of NCs and ensure timely resolution.
Supplier Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with suppliers regarding NCs and required documentation.
Train and support suppliers to minimize future NCs.
Intake Process:
Manage the intake process to ensure all flight hardware and other items are properly received and documented.
Ensure items with missing documentation or serialization are promptly addressed and cleared for acceptance.
