The SQL Developer will report directly to the Sr. Data Engineer and work within the IT BI team utilizing MS SQL Server across multiple servers and databases in a hybrid environment supporting both production and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

Working with developers and project management to build new and support existing SQL code, structures, and data
Evaluating and performance tuning existing procedures and data
Analyzing business needs and software requirements to help determine feasibility of work within time and resource constraints
Ensure performance, availability, integrity, and security of databases
Monitor and mitigate issues as they arise
Project life cycle involvement - planning, estimates, documentation, development, testing, and deployment
Working with likeminded folk, getting things done, and celebrating success

Qualifications:

2-3 years of recent experience with MS SQL Server 2012+
Experience working with databases in excess of 1TB
1+ years of SQL Server Integration Services
Experience in both OLTP and OLAP environments, ideally in eCommerce
Build databases, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures and functions as well as any other requirements of the business to integrate data between databases and servers.
Proficient with designing SQL schemas and procedures to support high-concurrency applications
Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting with DPA, Redgate SQL Monitor, and other related tools
Must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical parties
Dependable, detail oriented, and strong organizational skills
Skills that are a plus
SQL Server resource performance monitoring and tuning
SQL user security
Change Tracking, Change Data Capture
