Sr Associate, Strategy & Operations

What you'll do:

• Manage projects to help Morning Brew reach its near- and long-term business goals; projects may include market assessment, product strategy and development, quantitative opportunity sizing, and organizational design.
• Assist with strategic annual planning and subsequent quarterly goal setting and tracking, ensuring codification and focus on company’s biggest bets.
• Work with leaders across partner teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Data, Advertising) to implement relevant recommendations
• Provide rigorous quantitative analysis and reporting to company and department leaders that shape their perspectives and influence departmental and cross-company plans
• Manage a centralized repository of processes and improve processes to minimize complexities and optimize to promote effective operations.
• Work with CEO and other executives on company and board presentations and materials

About you:

• Undergraduate (or equivalent) degree in business, economics, mathematics, accounting, finance or other related quantitative or analytical fields
• 3-5+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank -OR- 3-5+ years in a strategy or operations role. Bonus if experience comes from media or a fast growth startup environment.
• Excellent communication / collaboration skills: role involves building strong relationships across the organization and communicating / presenting ideas clearly to executive leadership team
• Experience creating data analysis, financial models, and strategic frameworks on par with leading management consulting firms
• You have a strong problem-solving track record – you’re able to think critically through unique problems with no set playbook and quickly implement a path to a solution, and you can toggle effortlessly between big picture strategy and in-the-weeds tactical problem-solving
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Experience breaking down complex problems into pieces that can be solved with data, analysis, and clear assumptions
