Overview:
The Sr Benefits Analyst role administers and communicates ATI's benefit plans effectively, efficiently and within federal and state guidelines to help translate our benefits strategy into results. This position also completes monthly and quarterly reports for benefits plans, annual audits, as well as other special and ad hoc reports to assess overall plan effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Operate independently to administer the companies' health and welfare benefits programs (health/dental care, disability, life insurance, spending accounts, COBRA, 401(k)) in compliance with plan documents.
Obtains claim and utilization data from carrier and/or third-party administrator to complete monthly and quarterly claim reports, projections, and ad hoc analysis.
Assist Sr Dir of Benefits & Compensation with reviewing vendor contracts, monitoring and evaluating vendor performance for timeliness, accuracy, quality of customer service and cost effectiveness.
Maintain and audit benefit enrollment records to ensure accuracy of premium deductions and expense calculation for general ledger capture.
Communicate benefit offerings and maintains accurate enrollment and eligibility information to ensure appropriate premium payment by both employee and employer.
Manage budget, vendor and stakeholder relationships
Assist in developing and revising documentation such as the Summary Plan Description
Create and maintain the annual compliance calendar to ensure that every employee has received benefit information and completed any necessary steps
Maintain enrollment and other changes to health, life, disability, worker's compensation and retirement vendors via a variety of reporting mechanisms
Provide project management for benefit-related projects.
Support the compensation team on administration and analysis of compensation policies and procedures, including variable pay and equity compensation
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, Business Administration, related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred:
Minimum Experience Required:
5+ years' experience in benefits processes with 2+ years analysis experience in claims, contracts, and vendor performance
Preferred:
Broad-based compensation experience to develop, implement and analyze compensation programs and policies
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge as a subject matter expert in at least two of the following disciplines: Health & Welfare, Leaves & Disability, Retirement and Wellness programs
In-depth understanding of state and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance
Ability to manipulate (often) large data sets in complex ways to tease meaning from the numbers and convey these findings to an executive audience and non-executive stakeholders
Ability to interpret employee benefits information and respond accurately to employee inquiries
Superior problem-solving ability

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
