Sr Coord Operations Training

The training coordinator supports the Sr. Training Specialist with the conceptualization and implementation of learning and development strategies throughout the Manufacturing organization. Assists in administrative tasks such as documenting training, managing training records, and assessing talent development needs to drive training initiatives. Shows a creative, true hands-on approach to instructional design. In addition, effective presentation skills are required.


  • Develops Learning and Training Materials: Develops effective and interactive training programs to support employee development and organizational enhancement. Builds a robust mix of training capabilities including but not limited to instructor-led training, video, and digital-based training. Prepares the role-specific, onboarding tools that are aligned with outlined training requirements. Helps by developing training objectives and assessments which result in quality course materials.
  • Conducts Training Sessions: Helps design and facilitate training specific to Mary Kay’s needs. Delivers instruction through formal classes and online eLearning
  • Facilitates Training and Coaching Programs: Works directly with employees to provide guidance and build essential skills. In this aspect of the role, the training coordinator uses the materials and programs they have helped to develop and presents them directly to employees and departments.
  • Manages Training Schedules: Oversees training schedules, ensuring that programs are delivered on time and according to internal timelines. Handles logistics for training activities including booking venues and equipment. Additionally, the training coordinator works with Operations leadership to determine when to schedule training sessions to best prevent business interruptions.
  • Perform Needs Assessment: Administers surveys and tests that will identify overall skill level as well as gaps for all Operations employees. Relays departmental training requests to the Sr. Training Specialist.
  • Monitors Effectiveness of Training and Record Maintenance: Records training attendance and measures employee performance during training programs. Evaluates employee effectiveness after each training session. Maintains organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources. Responsible for the maintenance of training documentation and training records for all Operations employees.

Experience: 3+ years
Field of Experience: Possess Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Learning/Personnel Development in a Manufacturing Environment
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent


  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles/processes, procedures and machinery, material handling and conveyance, packaging and logistics.


  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels, and all positions, within the organization.


  • Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills, and both verbal and written communication skills.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong focus in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (proficiency test will be administered)


  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers.


  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods and techniques


  • Exceptional organization skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills


  • Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail.


  • Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design, and e-learning platforms


  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data.


  • Must possess a passion for excellence in people, processes, and analytics. This hands-on position will require a self-motivated, high-energy level individual.
