JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to effectively execute online sales strategies and initiatives to increase overall sales and education to our Sales Force and consumers. This role is responsible for all aspects of online merchandising, ensuring all product categories across all channels are accurately represented and remain up to date on all website conversion metrics. In addition, this role is responsible for the product catalog, descriptions, specifications, digital assets, and categorizations.

This role is a subject matter expert, and have a meticulous eye for detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, great writing skills and proven experience improving UX and optimizing all merchandise related aspects of web performance. Recommends and contributes to all aspects of online content strategy, implementation, measurement and optimization for the Mary Kay.com site and/or InTouch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, own, and optimize all aspects of Product Catalog (tags, product images, descriptions, etc.).
  • Translates and interprets key stakeholders’ ideas into a content vision. Works with Creative, IST and internal business partners to execute vision.
  • Accesses and analyzes site metrics and utilizes knowledge of site performance and web trends to make recommendations to improve site engagement. Plans, executes and approves content to be featured on MaryKay.com and Online Ordering. Creates detailed web work requests and briefs internal partners for each launch. Create and manage the execution of the site merchandising calendar and quarterly framework to ensure alignment on campaigns. Align with your team on marketing campaigns and initiatives updating the site as needed for promotions and sales, making sure updates go as scheduled.
  • Manages implementation and quality control of new quarterly web content, including posting, coding, cross-linking and interfacing strategy based on identified personas. Identifies and resolves technical issues. Organizes the backend tool for content publishing. Tweaks design and corrects code for any broken links on all content pages. and functioning properly. Regularly conduct website audits to make sure all information is up to date and that website functionality is working as expected. Assess competitive landscape to understand emerging trends and recommend changes to the digital experience as appropriate or relevant.
  • Partners with IST to ensure back-end web design efficiencies. Troubleshoot and repair any on-site bugs or issues. On-call to manage the site should there be difficulties, or the site goes down. Works closely with InTouch team and IST groups to ensure the site is working correctly and troubleshoots and repair any onsite bugs or issues. Collaborates with IST team to identify and resolve server issues. Highly equipped to handle technical difficulties should servers go down.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education

Bachelor's degree in Communication, Information Technology, Graphic Design or equivalent work experience, plus


Experience


3 + years of experience in web design and communications in a corporate environment


  • Must have advanced knowledge of HTML, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Front Page, Acrobat, Java Script and be able to easily work in admin tools, both custom built or brand. Working knowledge of CSS needed. Must have experience working in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Sitecore platform.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required to effectively interact successfully with a diverse group of individuals from various departments.

  • Must maintain awareness of the latest Web/Internet technologies and practices through attending seminars, technical classes and studying competitive sites in the marketplace. Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously required. High attention to detail is a must.

  • Must have troubleshooting skills for computer software/hardware problems that may occur, including applications, printers, networking etc. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are helpful in working with pages requiring Spanish translations.

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines. Work effectively across teams, drive for outcomes and communicate context.

  • Highly proficient in computer applications and web-based analytical tools such as Google Analytics. Big Commerce experience a plus.
