Overview

Morning Brew is looking for an experienced communications and PR leader to join the growth team . Reporting to our VP, Growth, the Senior PR Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of Morning Brew’s public relations strategy. This is a unique opportunity to be the first in-house PR expert at Morning Brew and shape the PR strategy for the business. 

Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.

What you’ll do:

- Lead the development and execution of the end-to-end PR strategies and tactics to support company key goals and initiatives.

- Bring, develop and nurture relationships with media; Target, pitch, and and deliver top-tier media coverage

- Build Morning Brew’s reputation as a company, create awareness around our story and how the company is evolving. 

- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams (Content, Growth, Education, Commerce, etc) on coordinated campaigns, events, and launches.

- Effectively position the leadership team as thought leaders and spokespeople on topics such as education, media and advertising, and identify speaking/media opportunities for them

- Recommend and generate media strategies showcasing innovative new branded content and partnerships between Morning Brew and advertisers in industry publications.

- Collaborate with the analytics team on creating,monitoring and reporting on KPIs to measure success

What makes you qualified:

- You have 6+ years progressive experience in a public relations role for a PR firm or as an in-house PR specialist

- Proven track record of success in PR and communications, ideally with experience doing media relations for a media business

- Existing media relationships with national business and industry media outlets

- Ability to provide high level counsel about communications in different aspects including strategy, thought leadership building, media relations as well as issues and crisis management

- Excellent written and communication skills developing materials including reports, communications plans, statements, press releases, and other supporting material

- You are a team player, results-driven and detail-oriented. You’re a natural self-starter who loves to get stuff done
