Willow is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our team! This role will report to the Controller and is flexible for remote work or working at our HQ in Mountain View, CA. This is a dynamic, high-touch role in our team that is responsible for many areas of accounting and reporting, including revenue and accounts receivable, in our growing company.

This role requires a highly motivated and organized leader with outstanding communication skills who is comfortable in both detailed transaction flows and in strategic thinking to realign organization and processes. The ideal candidate embraces change and innovation, understands how process and technology can be used to build better outcomes, and enjoys partnering with colleagues across multiple functional teams to drive alignment for the collective win.


Roles & Responsibilities | What you'll do:

  • Manage monthly close process with efficiency and accuracy, establishing and adhering to close calendar
  • Prepare or review customer invoicing and aging, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze key monthly balance sheet and income statement account variances
  • Research and implement GAAP guidance, including ASC 606, drafting technical accounting memos as needed
  • Partner with functional and technology teams to identify and drive improvements to business systems, processes and reporting
  • Enhance controls and processes while ensuring compliance with internal controls requirements
  • Coordinate deliverables for quarterly reviews and annual audits with independent auditors
  • Review, recommend, and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures
  • Work closely with senior leadership and functional teams as a business partner, providing valuable financial analysis and creating efficiencies for groups outside of finance

Experience | What you'll bring:

  • 7-10+ years of accounting or finance experience with progressive responsibility; exposure to manufacturing operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, technical pronouncements, SOX, and PCAOB and SEC audit standards; experience with ASC 606 required
  • Active CPA required
  • Mix of Big 4 public accounting and private industry accounting preferred
  • Strong systems skills including Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus); demonstrable experience with systems implementations and automation preferred
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Strong work ethic and capacity to accomplish tasks independently
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Experience successfully working in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions

Additional Information
Willow takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the successful candidate's location, job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. We regularly review and update our pay ranges and therefore, these ranges may be modified in the future.

Bay Area, Seattle Area : $115,000-$185,00
All Other US Locations: $88,000-$154,000
