The Data Governance Sr. Analyst will support the execution of the Item Data Governance Program across business areas responsible for item data management. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with various business functions, including technology leads, Project Managers and Commercialization Participants to facilitate the creation and availability of accurate and complete data throughout the item lifecycle. Key objectives include assisting with education and communication efforts needed to drive adoption, training, and overall awareness of data management practices and solutions that support item set-up, commercial agility and the omni-channel consumer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Item Data Governance:
Provide change management support for business process improvements, system enhancements & transition activities associated with the item data space
Coordinate the development and maintenance of training material, SOPs and templates needed to support data governance and item build activities
Engage with Data Steward Community to facilitate the prioritization and resolution of issues related to data sourcing, business/governance rules, data transformation, data distribution and data consumption
Assist with the development and monitoring of data quality reports, scorecards and status updates to support internal and external compliance needs, data integrity, usability, and reliability of item master data
Champion and educate others on data management practices and data governance standards
Provide Project Management support for item set-up and data related initiatives:
Serve as the subject matter expert and consultant for complex item build and/or omni-channel offerings
Serve as a governance subject matter expert and consultant for set-up and maintenance of all item types in appropriate item systems through the product lifecycle process.
Manage data remediation issues and lead data management-related projects of varying levels of scope and complexity.
Support the request, creation, and enrichment of all item records
Partner with business stakeholders to achieve and maintain data quality and integrity across systems/processes and ensure that all changes to existing items are completely timely and communicated appropriately.
Partner with Project Managers and Data Stewards throughout the commercialization process to achieve accuracy, timeliness and consistency of item data
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience
3 to 5 years of experience in a data governance, item management, quality, regulatory, assurance or related role, preferably within a CPG industry
