Snowflake’s Industry Solutions & Technical Innovation team is actively seeking a Senior Architect to focus on design, development and implementation of innovative and scalable industry solutions. As the architect, you will be responsible for driving the technical architecture and overall technical direction of the team. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the team adheres to build standards and best practices, while meeting project timelines. You will apply your strong hands-on and technical experience to innovate with executive technical leadership, and build strategic alignment throughout the field - working in tight collaboration with product, engineering, professional services, industry sales, and marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead a multi-faceted development team, providing guidance and direction to team members on technical architecture, design and development.
- Scoping, building, and delivering relevant, memorable, and innovative demos, to accelerate new deals and uplevel Snowflake’s field teams by improving overall industry sales productivity and effectiveness and setting the example for what good looks like.
- Shape the technical strategy and deployment for external assets, accelerating customer time to value, going head to head with competitor solution offerings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to define project requirements, scope, and technical objectives, ensuring they are aligned with Snowflakes strategic goals and objectives.
- Create overall solution from idea, to design, to build, to demo, to consumption: Generate or build upon ideas as a team, and work as a unit to define use-case/feature definition, technical design elements, storyboarding, validation, and build, for both internal and external use.
- Work with the broader Industry Solution & Technical Innovation team to maintain and continuously evolve Snowflake’s solutions / central demo assets to stay ahead of the competition and new product releases. Monitor and respond to inquiries and project requests, working with the team to execute on issues, feature requests, or demo roadmap items that are in the project backlog. Work with technical teams to coordinate backlog grooming and execution.
- Partner closely with industry product management & product marketing on product roadmap and industry launch events, participate in marquee events throughout the year. Work with product management to identify emerging trends, white-space opportunities for Snowflake, and build new programs within identified features.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- 10+ years of industry experience in technology consulting and/or sales engineering, designing, developing, and implementing complex technical solutions using modern software development technologies and methodologies.
- Experience with Snowflake implementations, best practices, and complex topics and design patterns.
- Demonstrated success in technical leadership and conceptual modeling to turn complex and abstract concepts into technical assets.
- Experience and understanding of sales engineering best practices.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers and team members.
- Direct experience working in the SaaS space. data science, data warehouse, cloud, analytics and/or Business Intelligence experience is required.
- Organized and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and on time in a metrics based organization.
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

The estimated base salary range for this role is $191,000 - $299,000.

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
