Sr. Business Analyst-Remote (Guidewire)

We are actively hiring for a Sr. Business Analyst/Guidewire.

Your work:

  • Performs research for very high-complexity items.
  • Elicits requirements for very high-complexity features.
  • Supports development and delivery of features, fixes and releases.
  • Partners with and applies lower level analysts to support items. (MYS: Mentors?)
  • Communicates status and details of items to relevant collaborators.
  • Performs impact analysis for proposed changes and/or incidents impacting systems and/or business processes and supports identification of interim procedures if required.
  • Researches and articulates expected behavior to stakeholders, peers and partners to facilitate incident management, feature development and/or process changes.
  • Builds and/or maintains reference materials, communication content, product specifications/business rules, business process diagrams and similar artifacts.
  • Plans for, leads and/or performs ad-hoc and structured testing activities as needed to support feature development, incident resolution, business inquiries and deployment activities
  • Performs operational activities for business-owned system functionality (such as VIN table updates, rate changes, agent transfer processing)
  • Performs very high complexity data extracts and data analysis
  • Acts as SME to support business activities as needed
  • Acts as collaborator representing assigned system(s)
  • Coaches and develops lower-level business analysts
  • Possesses deep technical knowledge of multiple aspects of assigned application(s) and broad technical knowledge of other aspects, including overall system landscape, interfacing applications and functional capabilities.
  • May craft and/or support creation of user stories and other artifacts to support delivery of a work item
  • Possesses strong knowledge of methodologies used by the team supporting assigned application(s)


What would make us excited about you?

  • An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Insurance experience.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire Policy administration or Claims administration system is a must.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization
  • Knowledge of common integrations with Claims administration system
  • Experience with Scaled agile framework (SAFe)
  • Commercial Insurance experience is preferred
  • JIRA experience is a plus but not required
  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)
  • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)
  • (Use as needed) Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings

The national average salary range for this position is $103,770 - $115,300. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $93,420 - $138,400. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.

Factors used to determine the actual salary offered may include location, experience, or education.
