Job Summary:
onehome is looking for a dynamic Sr. Clinical Home Health Training Specialistin our Miramar, FL home office. This is a position within the Training & Development team and is responsible for delivering training and instruction covering a range of technical and operational areas. In addition, this individual will work with leadership and the curricula design team to ensure the transfer of learning from the classroom to the job. This role requires the ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment on operations and corporate training initiatives that drive measurable and sustained business impact.
Responsibilities (Facilitation)
- Administer learning and development initiatives using virtual and instructor-led methods.
- Communicate with trainers to manage the rollout of new material (train-the-trainer).
- Facilitate training activities to ensure new colleagues are properly oriented to their roles and the company.
- Maintain records of training activities and colleague progress and monitor effectiveness through competency testing.
- Coordinate or perform administrative and logistical functions necessary to deliver, support, and document training programs.
Responsibilities (Development)
- Assist in the creation of training content that may pertain to system, process, procedure or clinical topics.
- Design instructional and communications materials, knowledge and performance assessments, and other learning assets.
- Assist in the continuous update of training materials including presentations, participant guides, and other related resources.
- Present and recommend innovative solutions to delivering learning content to peers, managers, and business partners.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years of experience in clinical training and/or designing solutions to enable learning.
- 3 years of experience in home health.
- Clinical degree in nursing (RN).
- Extensive Medicare knowledge and experience with Medicare Customer Service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Superlative oral and written communication presentation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex information into simple, digestible material for learners.
- Proven project management experience, adept at working under tight deadlines and managing multiple, concurrent projects.
- Ability to lead training sessions in-person and virtually.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (in Florida and, on rare occasions, Texas)
- This is a local position based in S. Florida
What you need to succeed:
- Understanding of the principles of Utilization Management, Quality Improvement Programs, and Inter-rater reliability testing.
- Proficiency in Kinnser.
- OASIS certification.
- Proficiency in OASIS assessments, SOC/Admissions, Recertifications, ABN’s, subsequent visits, physician orders, and care coordination.
- CHAP and/or Joint Commission Survey experience.
- Home Health Utilization and/or Case Management.
