Job Description
The Sr. Director of Sales, Data Compliance & Governance (DCG) is responsible for leading global Sales Specialists and Sales Engineers to position and differentiate the Veritas Data Compliance solutions, earning the trust and business of clients and prospects, resulting in delighted clients and ARR growth for Veritas. This leader will work with their team to engage directly with clients to help showcase business value and close deals. The Sr. Director of Sales will guide field sales on how to best position DCG solutions with clients, and help the team navigate through the clients buying journey. In addition, the leader with exhibit the necessary knowledge to articulate how Veritas solutions are best-in-class for data compliance & Governance. As a member of the leadership team, this role will require regular interlocks with Product Engineering, Product Management, and Cloud Operations, providing client and market insights, facilitating continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Communication
  • This person is responsible for driving our cloud business across the Worldwide regions.
  • They are responsible for recruiting the Data Compliance sales team across the Globe.
  • Coach and develop high potential talent for future progression.
  • Lead a focused team of specialized SaaS cloud sales representatives and pre-sales technical resources to achieve agreed objectives through support, mentorship, direction, and accountability.
  • Build and nurture a high-performance Data Compliance sales organization, demonstrating courage with a deliberate intent to win and grow.
  • Responsible for sponsoring the largest cloud deals in the region to ensure successful closure and value capture.
Strategy / Account Planning / Customers
  • Meet and exceed revenue and bookings targets and achieve key sales objectives by developing and executing on regional sales strategies.
  • Facilitate and direct strategic account planning by developing scalable strategies that leverage Veritas’ strengths and unique value propositions.
  • Lead the regional sales team in building pipeline, developing effective sales plans, maintaining sales reports, developing market and competitor knowledge, delivering compelling presentations, and ensuring favorable outcomes at every client engagement.
  • Develop short and long-term strategies, securing senior internal stakeholder support and then deliver against the execution of these strategies.
  • Develop C-level relationships within strategic accounts and ensure all Key Decision Makers and Stakeholders (both with the client and Veritas) are supportive and endorse the specific account objectives.
  • Understand pricing structures and support reps in negotiating Contracts and/or Amendments through to conclusion.
  • Expand into new buying centers within strategic account base, ultimately increasing Veritas’s share of wallet.
  • Understand the evolving Cloud Service Provider ecosystem and associated customer trends and ensure the Regional GTM strategy continuously aligns; anticipate long-term business trends, emerging markets, and competitors’ threats/opportunities and how they affect the market.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
  • Manages well through major change within the organization and sales partners. Works with key influencers to ensure high levels of employee, partner, and customer satisfaction through the organizational changes within Veritas.
  • Track record and ability to keep a pulse on employee morale, provide development opportunities and retain key performers.
  • Incumbent must bring experience and success in leading strategic initiatives to adopt and expand methodologies that delivered results in their business portfolio.
  • The ability to work well in highly matrixed and complex go-to-market and route-to-market environments.
  • Ability to take conceptual ideas and translate them into a forward-thinking objective including enabling architectural alignment as we lead our customers in support of their business models.
Basic/Core/Essential Qualifications
  • Must have a proven success track record in leading a Global Sales function that deliver selling SaaS solutions for large enterprise customers.
  • Must be a strategic thinker and have proven ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems and scale effectively across a large organization.
  • High energy, independent, self-motivated, enthusiastic, ambitious, goal-oriented, and success driven.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work alongside multiple team members.
  • Excellent leadership, energy, judgment, communication, interpersonal, management and analytical skills required; approachable and able to resolve conflict.
  • Passionate about growing and building a business to its full potential.
  • A successful track record of milestone achievement, operational excellence, and strong cross-functional skills. Recognized as a high achiever who is willing to work broadly to resolve issues in an inclusive way, and significant experience with sales process improvement.
  • Great motivator and communicator, both oral and written.
  • Strong skills and track record of growing and scaling business through the Channel.
  • Operated globally with a good understanding of cross regional cultures.
Target cash compensation range of $372,700 to $503,400

The above pay range is based on a good faith estimate made at the time of publication and may be modified in the future. The pay offered to a candidate may vary within this range depending on factors such as education, experience, and geographic location.
