Job Title: Sr. Linux Administrator

Location: Portland, OR

About this Role:

Comscore, Inc., is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with 5 or more years of relevant experience to join its world-class Infrastructure Engineering team. The right candidate will provide essential support for comScore critical infrastructure, utilities and core services. The candidate will work with development and business assets throughout the company to gather requirements, provide advice, and assist in implementation of software services.

What You’ll Do:

Maintain existing systems and services as well as design and implement future enhancements and upgrades
Be a thought and technical leader for the team
Respond to, triage, and help resolve incident tickets and monitoring alerts
Automate common procedures
Standardize and ensure appropriate documentation of common procedures
Work with diverse teams to provide advice and assistance with access to and use of operational systems and services; and to translate business needs to actionable work items
Participate in on-call support schedule for production systems

What You’ll Need:

Experience managing medium sized hybrid environment
Experience with configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, etc) is required
Experience collaborating and managing source code with Git
Experience with scripting/programming to automate and scale services
Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members in local and remote locations
Able to manage day to day tasks while fielding interruptions
Self-starter type of individual, willing to take on tasks and ask for help as needed
Able to work with various development teams to implement and assist with best practices
Experience with software development / deployment concepts is preferred
Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus
Experience with Terraform, Cloudformation, experience with Docker, experience with VMWare are all a plus
