Sr. Manager, Front-End Web Development (Remote)

The Manager, Front-End Web Development will be responsible for managing a team that owns the design, development, and maintenance of the company's website and web-based applications. You will be working with a small team as a true hands-on manager where strong development skills are required. This includes creating visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces, and ensuring the website is optimized for speed, security, and accessibility. The Manager, Front-End Development will work closely with the back-end developers and designers to ensure a seamless user experience.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop responsive, mobile-friendly websites and web-based applications
• Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensure website is optimized for speed, security, and accessibility (Core Web Vitals)
• Test and debug code to ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Stay up-to-date with new web technologies and programming languages
• Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration
• Work with project managers to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 10+ years of experience in front-end web development
• 3-5+ years of experience managing a web development team
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience with responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less
• Experience with cloud-based DevOps: AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, familiar with source control systems
• Strong understanding of web performance and optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field is preferred but not required.

Targeted Base Salary Range: $162,000 to $226,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
