What You’ll Do
As the Senior Manager of FP&A, reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will be responsible for assisting and managing aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for our business. Your expertise and insights will be crucial in providing accurate and timely financial information to the VP of FP&A and other senior executives, enabling them to make well-informed business decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial strategies and initiatives that support our growth objectives.
You will:
- Develop and oversee the financial reporting of the business ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data and reports.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of FP&A to develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets that align with business goals and strategic initiatives.
- Provide in-depth financial insights and analysis to the VP of FP&A and senior management, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance business performance and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, and present them to the VP of FP&A and executive leadership, delivering meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop and implement financial strategies and action plans aimed at improving profitability, cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes, investment evaluations, and scenario planning, under the guidance of the VP of FP&A.
- Assist the VP of FP&A in driving the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and review budgets, track performance, and provide guidance on budgetary control.
- Evaluate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, proactively identifying areas of concern and proposing corrective actions in collaboration with the VP of FP&A.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning and analysis, and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function, in coordination with the VP of FP&A.
What You’ll Need to be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 10 years in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the manufacturing and retail industry.
- Thorough knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling tools such as Adaptive.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, preferably Power BI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial information and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the capability to effectively interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
