Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company behind pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser, and Pocket, the content discovery platform. More than 270 million people around the world use its products each month.
Along with 20,000+ volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozilla Corporation's staff are driven by our vision of becoming the trusted guide to a joyful internet. We design, build and distribute software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

Mozilla is looking for someone to drive significant impact and further our mission to build software that is unambiguously good for the world. As the HR leader for teams spanning product, ads, and innovation, you'll be collaborating with executives to accelerate the growth of our existing products while paving the way for new ideas to thrive.

By developing a deep understanding of Mozilla's business, mission, and product vision, you'll co-create a people strategy that enables employees to do their best work and further a culture of innovation and excellence. You'll also draw from your experience in organizational effectiveness, talent development, and leadership coaching as you partner with leaders to deliver on people priorities and programs.

If you're interested in helping us take on some of the internet's biggest challenges — openness, accessibility, safety, privacy, security, interoperability, individual agency and more, we look forward to learning more about you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with leaders and their respective teams to quickly be recognized as a trusted advisor and balanced advocate
  • Be a thought partner and embedded member of your respective leadership teams, with the intention of strengthening leader effectiveness
  • Partner with our SVP of Innovation Ecosystems to develop creative people solutions that cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurship and conceptualization, while attracting extraordinary talent
  • Deliver scalable people programs applying user centered design (e.g. DEI programs, performance management, engagement survey planning, talent development, culture transformation initiatives, job architecture, etc.)
  • Leading effective organizational and cultural change to enable a sustained adoption of our multi-year people roadmap
  • Provide counsel to leaders at all levels, support org structure decisions, and act as a thought partner on hiring, internal mobility, employee relations, performance, and professional development strategies
  • Partner with functional leaders and our inclusion, diversity, equity and accountability (IDEA) team to build talent plans that position us for long-term success while deepening our team's sense of belonging
  • Work with legal counsel to address complex employee relations issues underpinned by investments in strengthening our culture, including investigations and conflict mediation as needed
  • Collaborate with the People Science team to uncover insights and support leaders in making data informed decisions and investments in people

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of dynamic experience as an HRBP partnering with senior executives in product, technology, or engineering functions, ideally in environments of high growth and transformation
  • Proven background in organizational design, M&A, and building people practices from ground up!
  • Ability to flex between being strategic, analytical, and being a doer who pushes the boundaries of status quo to bring in the right ideas and practices.
  • Curious and consultative approach and can balance inquiry, facilitation, and strong recommendations when needed while drawing from others' strengths.
  • A first principles thinker, with the ability to see possibilities from constraints
  • Generative and adventurous leadership style that invites everyone to set a higher standard and speak up
  • Ability to know when processes enable scale and equity and when we should weigh people over process
  • Able to draw from a mix of logic, intuition, analytics, and experience to establish new insights
