What you'll do


The Sr. Manager, Renewal Management is a high-impact position combining equal parts relationship management and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a proven record of success in a SaaS technology company where they had responsibility for revenue retention and demonstrated an ability to promote future growth in their assigned accounts. This position will require the aptitude to become a master of DocuSign’s product capabilities, underlying technology, and competitive advantages and convey those to DocuSign’s customers. This person will work best in a dynamic, technology-driven environment utilizing phone and web tools to effectively manage a high velocity of activity.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director, Renewal Management.

Responsibility

  • Meet or exceed maintenance and cloud sales objectives and quotas
  • Develop renewal strategy and plan to retain and grow assigned business
  • Review metrics to help identify and close open and up-sell opportunities
  • Manage a team of Renewal Managers (RM) to ensure goals are being met and business followed up on
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts via Salesforce in line with set targets, strategic plans, and operating budgets
  • Identify at-risk renewal clients early in the cycle and define and address issues inhibiting a successful, timely renewal
  • Negotiate terms that result in favorable outcomes for both DocuSign and clients
  • Participate in internal customer strategic account process, ratifying account details and working with Adoption Services in identifying customers that need focus
  • Interact with cross-functional teams in a professional manner to ensure high-level collaboration is taking place
  • Drive client partnerships by successfully calling on high-level executives and strategic thinkers, and work across all levels within an organization to ensure a win for the company
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve renewal team's internal processes
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce

and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the

time.



What you bring


Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in Renewal Management, consultative sales or business consulting
  • 8+ years of experience in sales methodologies used to prospect within the account, consult with the client on business issues, create and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales
  • 8+ years of experience leading teams
  • BS/BA degree


Preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in Renewal Management, consultative sales or business consulting within a SaaS model
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, specifically Salesforce
  • Ability to identify, critique, suggest, and implement intelligent changes to the clients' business optimization processes
  • Strong capacity for engagement and mastery cross area
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to be able to interact effectively at all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to C-level
  • Strong experience in forecast and result management (churn)
  • Strong experience in people management and leadership skills
  • Process Management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary


Wage Transparency


Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $105,900 - $159,225 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $103,500 - $150,075 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $103,500 - $153,600 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and

benefits.
