Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (PP)

TITLE: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

DUTIES: Nexteer Automotive Corporation seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based out of our office at 3900 E. Holland Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 10%.

Serve as an Implementation leader for General Motors (GM) Battery Truck (BT1xx) Program. Coordinate installation of new equipment and tools in Queretaro, Plant 63 for new GM projects. Support Program launch activities. Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area. Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects with a team focused approach across multiple functional areas. Manage budget as required. Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, to meet customer needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field and five years of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: experience with product drawings; experience with lean manufacturing concepts and practices; experience with GD&T; experience with Manufacturing Plant Systems; experience with complex project management; and experience with Project Financial analysis. Must be fluent in Spanish (read, write, and speak).
