At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products.

This position is responsible for maintaining the condition, yield, and efficiency of all machines through problem analysis (troubleshooting). This involves making the more complex emergency repairs, assuring machine reliability by performing preventive maintenance, improving or modifying machinery to obtain higher levels of production and yield.
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and software-controlled manufacturing equipment.
3. Assist with engineering projects, such as installing new equipment or running experimental samples.
4. Prevent and resolve safety issues by reviewing equipment and processes and providing necessary guarding and training.
5. Maintain and frequently verify manufacturing equipment is in good working order. Set up critical pieces of equipment for production operators.
6. Help organize and set up workflow improvements.
7. Dispose of production area hazardous waste.
8. Maintain/order some equipment parts and production supplies.
9. Coordinate and monitor cleaning of the clean room areas.
10. Keep supervisor informed of production issues.
11. Maintain clean and organized work area.
12. Partner with Engineering to perform necessary project design/work, major repairs, and/or implementation of plans that may require electronic/electrical and/or mechanical knowledge.
13. Provide training to Associates.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of ten years of experience in manufacturing or a two-year technical degree or certificate and a minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing. Minimum of two years of experience with programmable logic circuits (PLCs) troubleshooting programming. Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.
