Prod Development Eng. Product Engineer - Sr. Engineer
THE ROLE:
Product Engineering is a cost, quality, and time-to-market driven team responsible for enabling the availability of microprocessors to our customers. Pre-silicon responsibilities for the Product Engineer include understanding product features, developing characterization test plans, highlighting test coverage holes. This requires interaction with Design, Test and Platform Engineering and allows for the opportunity to provide enhancement feedback for future designs. Post-silicon responsibilities include microprocessor debug & analysis and the execution of characterization plans. This may include silicon performance issues, yield issues, manufacturing processes, and device marginalities. The Product Engineer will work closely with Design, Test and Platform Engineering to root cause issues that result from the debug, characterization and margin analysis. The Product Engineer will also provide datasheet specifications and drive improvements in yield.
THE PERSON:
As the role of Product Engineer, we expect you could be self-motivation, creative thinking, and good communication skill in English
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with North America team on product yield commitment, engineering activities during product development stage including design validation, performance, characterization, qualification and release to production.
  • Manage the flawless test and process execution when introducing new products and their ramp to volume production in manufacturing partners.
  • Lead sustaining yield activities which include driving product performance and margin

improvement by working closely with our operations and development teams.
  • Lead cross functional teams and maintain committed schedules on multiple projects while interfacing with other engineering disciplines & various levels of management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Process Integration, Product Engineering, yield improvement or ATE test.
  • Prefer experience with ATE test development
  • Prefer experience with ATPG Scan, Memory BIST, Crest Functional test or HSIO test
  • Prefer experience with 6sigma project
  • Prefer experience or thorough understanding of device physics and semiconductor Fab processing for advance technology nodes below 40nm.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Capable to work independently and work with other groups to provide solution
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Design experience is a plus
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Required Degree: BS
  • Preferred Degree: MS
  • Preferred Major: Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer science
