As a Sr. Sales Executive for one of the leading freight forwarders in the industry, OEC Group will provide you with an opportunity to expand your book of business and become more knowledgeable about the shipping/logistics industry.
What we’re looking for:

5+ years of freight forwarding business development/outside sales experience.

Specialization in the Transpacific, South or West Asia market.

Possesses a book of business in international ocean, air and/or customs brokerage.

Demonstrated hunter mentality to continuously bring in new business opportunities.
What you’ll do:
-
Be a part of OEC Group’s growth by building a strong pipeline of new opportunities and maintaining a customer base.

Offer entire supply chain solution through OEC Group's ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage services.

Consult clients on the complexities of their supply chain using your expertise shipping various commodities to different geographic markets.
- Recognize and understand freight forwarding business opportunities through professional networking and market research.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services.

Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.

Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met.

Travel to meet clients in person within assigned territory.
- Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices.

Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.

Qualifications
This position will cover a geographic area surrounding the OEC Group office the candidate has been hired for. The role requires having reliable transportation at the time of hire.
Work Schedule
New York 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and previous experience using CRM systems.
Salary
$80,000-$100,000 base salary based on education and experience level.
*PLUS: Uncapped commission, $500 monthly car allowance, company cell phone, laptop, and expense account*
