API Gateway

We are seeking two skilled API Management and Streaming Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidates will have strong experience in API management platforms and be proficient in designing, developing, and securing APIs. You will be responsible for managing API gateways, ensuring robust API security, and integrating streaming technologies to meet our business needs.

API Management:

• Manage and maintain API gateways, specifically CA API Gateway (Broadcom) Layer 7.
• Design and develop APIs using industry-standard practices.
• Implement API versioning strategies and manage API lifecycle.
• Ensure high availability and scalability of API services.
  
  API Development and Architecture:
• Develop and maintain SOAP and REST APIs/web services.
• Create and manage API documentation to ensure clear and comprehensive specifications.
• Apply API design patterns and best practices.
  
  Security and Compliance:
• Implement and manage JWT and OAuth for secure API access and authorization.
• Ensure adherence to industry-standard web security practices, including OWASP and API security mechanisms.
• Apply cryptography concepts, including X509 certificates and encryption/decryption techniques.
  

·         Administrative and Development Skills:

Experience in both administering and developing API solutions.

·         Security and Encryption:

Proficiency in implementing security measures, encryption, and managing patch deployments and upgrades.

• Technical Skills:
• Utilize JSON Path and JSON Schema Validation for data validation and transformation.
• Apply XPath and XSLT for XML data manipulation and transformation.
• Manage and troubleshoot various messaging types and protocols.
  
• Additional Duties:
• Document API architecture, security practices, and configurations.
• Work with Linux, VM, and container technologies to support API deployment and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support API integration and streaming requirements.

• Strong experience with API management platforms such as Broadcom Layer 7 (CA API Gateway), Axway, Kong, Apigee, IBM API Connect, Mulesoft, or similar.

• Extensive experience in API design, development, architecture, and versioning.
• Proven track record in developing SOAP and REST APIs/web services.
• Solid experience with JWT, OAuth, JSON Path, JSON Schema Validation, XPath, XSLT, and various messaging protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard web security practices and API security mechanisms.
• Understanding of cryptographic concepts, including X509 certificates and encryption/decryption methods.

Technology Stack:

• Mandatory experience with CA API Gateway (Broadcom) Layer 7.
• Proficiency in Linux, VM environments, and containerization technologies.
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
