Senior Java Developer

Job Title: Senior Java DeveloperLocation: Baltimore, MarylandJob Responsibilities• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders on the trading floor, requiring excellent communication skills.• Work on various tech initiatives and trading-related applications, including data migration and application enhancements using Java microservices or Python Fast API.• Participate in the creation of new applications as part of decommissioning existing ones.• Debug code, understand complex workflows, and design using SQS and SNS.• Stay updated with application architecture and design, demonstrating a willingness to learn new things.Skills Required• 5+ years of professional experience in programming, with proficiency in Java 11+ and Python.• Solid understanding of modern AWS architectures and corresponding technologies such as SNS, SQS, ECS, Lambdas, Postgres, and Micro Services.• Hands-on experience in building and deploying microservices using Java or Python.• Experience with GitLab CI pipelines and containerized applications.• Extensive experience with database technologies (SQL / NoSQL), ability to create and debug stored procedures, complex SQL queries.• Proven ability to work collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders, demonstrating responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of high-quality solutions to complex business problems.About SSiWith over 25 years of industry experience, SSi People has built its reputation and expertise on putting people first.
