As our Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will own both the Payroll and Benefits functions for the entire company, working through the strategy for migration from our PEO to inhouse. You will love to build; problem solve and be experienced at Payroll and Benefits migration in a dynamic and evolving situation.
This role will report to the Chief People Officer and be a part of the People Team.
What You’ll Do
Fulfill all duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other assigned tasks, in a timely manner to comply with the close calendar, checklists, and other due dates as assigned.
Implementing and maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Support ad hoc analysis and process improvement projects.
Support overall department goals and objectives.
Assist with audit requests related to the accounts payable and account receivable.
Accounts Payable:
Process full-cycle accounts payable including vendor and invoice management, approval, and weekly disbursement activities.
Ensure proper GL coding for all AP activity recorded in accordance with the Hodinkee chart of accounts.
Fulfill all duties, including journal entries such as AP accruals/reclasses, along with reconciliations, and other assigned tasks related to accounts payable, in a timely manner to comply with the close calendar, checklists, and other due dates as assigned.
Process accounting approval of all expense reports that have been supervisor approved to ensure timely sync to NetSuite.
Travel and P-Card Credit card account reconciliation, as applicable
Accounts Receivable:
Review all contracts to obtain a detailed knowledge of all billing requirements and timing, by customer and campaign.
Timely posting of external customer cash receipts in NetSuite
Prepare, review and evaluate billing data for accuracy.
Responsible for updating any billing errors as they are identified and prior to invoice submission.
Escalation of disputes related to billing functions as needed.
Maintenance and build of Monthly AR Aging and Cash forecast files.
Support team with inquiries related to billing and additional month-end ad-hoc reporting/tasks as needed.
Update existing billing team documentation as needed.

Skills & Experience
Over 3 years of experience in accounting operations, preferably in a mid-sized US public company
Superior attention to detail
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and independently and interact with various teams when needed.
NetSuite experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
