Staff DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Objectives of this Role
  • Instantiating new development tools and infrastructure
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and translating that to infrastructure/system/process requirements
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development, deployment, and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against security threats
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software/middleware/infrastructure updates and ‘fixes’
  • Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Deploy updates and fixes
  • Provide technical support
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop infrastructure solutions for both front-end and back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production incidents
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Develop scripts to automate repeated tasks
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Maintain familiarity with cutting-edge technologies
  • Support production deployment and resolve production issues.
  • Debug performance issues with APM tools like Datadog.
