THE OPPORTUNITY
Objectives of this Role
Instantiating new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and translating that to infrastructure/system/process requirements
Working on ways to automate and improve development, deployment, and release processes
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against security threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software/middleware/infrastructure updates and ‘fixes’
Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Deploy updates and fixes
Provide technical support
Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
Develop infrastructure solutions for both front-end and back-end systems
Perform root cause analysis for production incidents
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Develop scripts to automate repeated tasks
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Maintain familiarity with cutting-edge technologies
Support production deployment and resolve production issues.
Debug performance issues with APM tools like Datadog.
