Overview

The American Statecraft Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace seeks a Koch Associates Program (KAP) fellow for a full-time Research and Media Support analyst. 

The candidate should have expertise in U.S. foreign policy and an interest in furthering the American Statecraft’s vision for realistic and restrained policies that are clear-eyed about the competitive global environment and anchored in the security and well-being of American citizens at home.

Responsibilities

The analyst will provide substantive research support for the production of the event and podcast series, Pivotal States. In this capacity, he or she will work closely with the Carnegie Endowment’s communications department and other members of the program research team. To support the podcast and event series, this position primarily involves substantive expertise in U.S. foreign policy topics and research, as opposed to technical expertise in editing podcast content. In addition to these responsibilities, the analyst will assist the program’s scholars in conducting research for book projects, policy reports, commentary, lectures, and briefings. 

• Knowledge of U.S. foreign policy and the American Statecraft program’s work. 
• Some familiarity with podcasts, including some prior experience in developing events.
• Excellent writing and communication skills. 
• Experience conducting research.
• Collegiality and passion for the work and vision of the Program.
• A BA or MA degree in relevant fields such as communication or international affairs from a leading college or university.
