Every day we learn and build new technologies to always improve the experience of our customers and partners worldwide.Job Summary And MissionAs a Senior Engineer, you will provide a meaningful and lasting contribution to your team by leading and assessing new projects and features, mentoring junior developers, writing solid, reusable code, refactoring legacy code, and releasing new features and applications to our internal partners.Summary Of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:• Review requirements, wireframes, and designs for technical feasibility and work with the scrum team and junior engineers to translate them into clear user stories.• Build incrementally with an eye toward the vision of the final product. Create prototypes and provide innovative ideas for complex problems.• Provide transparency in approach and progress throughout the process.• Improve product quality through code reviews, unit tests, and collaborate with QA to implement manual and/or automated tests.• Communicate with retail customers, senior management, and cross-functional team members.• Analyze and optimize application code for efficiency, memory consumption, and performance.• Delegate tasks to junior engineers.Basic Qualifications• 5 - 7 years of professional industry experience with consumer-facing mobile software development. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldRequired Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesTechnical Proficiency• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computer science concepts relative to the platform• Proficiency in Swift, Xcode, iOS frameworks, utilities, and technical dependencies.• Solid grasp of mobile networking concepts, GraphQL, and RESTful API web services.• Familiarity with best practices for user experience and user interface on the platform.• Ability to write high-quality, reusable software with minimal defects.• Ability to absorb new concepts and architectures into your development work.• Experience building and shipping mobile applications to consumers.Interpersonal Skills• Superior strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.• Core development expertise and the ability to build and deploy apps.• Ability to absorb new concepts and architectures into your development work.• A desire to grow into a leader on the mobile development team.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.We are committed to creating a diverse and welcoming workplace that includes partners with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
