This role focuses on creating, executing, and deploying HR solutions across the enterprise, aimed at enhancing organizational excellence. The ideal candidate will provide expert coaching, team development, and organizational development services, working closely with executive leaders and senior managers to support strategic alignment and organizational improvement initiatives. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.Job Duties:• Serves as the lead for HR Academy, collaborating with key stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver successful HR Academy sessions• Conducts whole systems analysis, process re-engineering and organizational development services in consultation with executive leaders to implement organizational improvement initiatives and assure alignment with the organization's strategic plans• Consults with all levels of management in the development, implementation, communication, and review of strategic business planning and change management initiatives• Provides coaching, facilitation and team development• Works with executive leadership to develop workforce strategies for retention, recruitment, training, coaching, knowledge management and succession planning• Promotes and implements ongoing lean projects to drive business objectivesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge of:• Human Resources management principles• Federal and state employment laws• Theoretical and practical concepts of human resources, statutes, and personnel rules• Organizational design theories and methods for organizational effectiveness• Principles of strategic business planning, workforce development and succession planning• Change management• Continuous improvement methodologies• Adult learning styles, business curriculum development and designSkills in:• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing• Successfully managing change by understanding how individual needs and motivations link to strategic goals• Excellent time management• Advanced use of business solutions software such as Google SuiteAbility to:• Research, analyze, evaluate and synthesize data and present information effectively and in support of project objectives• Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently• Make connections with others, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results and embrace change• Delegate effectively• Lead others in a matrixed reporting environmentSelective Preference(s):• 5+ years human resources experience• Experience coaching, mentoring and training, including development and presentation of content to audiences in both in-person and virtual settings• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development and/or a closely related field of studyPre-Employment Requirements:• Background and reference check, including state and federal criminal records fingerprint checkIf this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).Benefits:The Arizona Department of Administration offers a comprehensive benefits package to include:• Sick leave• Vacation with 10 paid holidays per year• Paid Parental Leave-Up to 12 weeks per year paid leave for newborn or newly-placed foster/adopted child (pilot program)• Health and dental insurance• Retirement plan• Life insurance and long-term disability insurance• Optional employee benefits include short-term disability insurance, deferred compensation plans, and supplemental life insuranceBy providing the option of a full-time or part-time remote work schedule, employees enjoy improved work/life balance, report higher job satisfaction, and are more productive.
