Customer Support Specialist II (P&C Licensed)

Applicant: This position requires an active Property & Casualty license in your resident state.

Steadily is an insurance technology company that specializes in rental property insurance for landlords. We’re Series B, just over 130 people, manage $20B in risk, and are intent on becoming the world’s best and largest insurer of rental properties.

We exist to deliver fast, affordable insurance and to pay claims quickly and fairly. To do that, we hire the best engineers, actuaries, sales, and service people in the country to build the experience that we’d want if we were the client.

Our Client Experience team’s core mandate is to deliver world-class, end-to-end experiences for our customers, both insureds and independent agencies, that drive brand loyalty and retention. You’ll be a part of delivering on that mandate.

As a Licensed Customer Support Specialist on the CX team, you will:   

  • Respond to high volume of inbound calls and email requests from insureds, lenders, and carriers to handle service requests on active policies.    

  • Work with customers and carriers to retain policies that are at risk of cancellation for non-compliance or underwriting reasons.

  • Provide direct support for post-bind requests; e.g. processing premium-bearing endorsements, rewriting coverage for effective date changes and coverage changes, and handling reinstatement requests.

  • Processing policy changes across 30+ Insurance carrier systems and ensuring the accuracy of policy records in our agency and document management system (Salesforce).

Your Background

  • Customer Service: You have direct experience working in a customer-facing role and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Tech Savvy: You have above average technical skills; learning to navigate new systems and tools is easy for you. 

  • Hungry: You want to make the leap into an earlier-stage tech company to accelerate your career growth. You want to roll up your sleeves and hustle and you’re willing to do what it takes to excel.  

  • Solution Oriented: You don’t need explicit instructions to figure out a problem; you’re a problem solver and you won’t stop until you’ve found a solution and resolved an issue. 

  • Self-Driven: You thrive under pressure and can manage a large workload with minimal oversight. There is no task too small or beneath you; “that’s not my job” is never your mantra.

Required Licensing

  • An active P&C producer license in your resident state 

  • Preferred: ‘Property’ and ‘Casualty’ lines of authority (not ‘Personal Lines’ only)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Pay: $33.65 / hour ($70,000 per year)

  • Equity in the company

  • 401K

  • 3 Weeks PTO + 6 Company Holidays

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance

Location & Schedule:

  • Kansas City metro area (Overland Park)

  • 4 days in office and WFH Wednesdays after training

  • Our Customer Support team is available Mon - Fri 7am - 7pm CT; your schedule will fall between those hours (e.g. 7am - 4pm or 10am - 7pm).
