Sterile Processing Tech - Certified or Non-certified

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing team who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community we serve!

We are looking to fill a Sterile Processing position at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa Florida.

Title: Sterile Processing Technician – Certified or Non-Certified

Responsibilities:

• Decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
• Acts as a preceptor, mentor, and resource in support of department team members.
• Sterile Processing certification required within 24 months of hire.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Preferred – Sterile Processing Certification

Education:

• Required – High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Preferred – 6 months – Hospital in related field
