Exabeam is a global cybersecurity leader that adds intelligence to every IT and security stack. The leader in Next-gen SIEM and XDR, Exabeam is reinventing the way security teams use analytics and automation to solve Threat Detection, Investigation, and Response (TDIR), from common security threats to the most critical that are difficult to identify.

Exabeam offers a comprehensive cloud-delivered solution that leverages machine learning and automation using a prescriptive, outcomes-based approach to TDIR.

We design and build products to help security teams detect external threats, compromised users and malicious adversaries, minimize false positives and best protect their organizations. For more information, visit www.exabeam.com

The Exabeam Strategy Office has a simple mission: help the broader Exabeam executive team with developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives.

In support of this mission, Exabeam is looking for a Strategic Lead reporting to our Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Our ideal person is someone who is curious and loves to learn, thinks strategically but can also deliver systematically, can synthetize complex topics in a simple way, and knows when to challenge the status quo and when to accept the existing.

This is a lean team and no task is too small. You’ll partner closely with our CSO as well as other leaders and their teams cross-functionally throughout the organization to deliver on our mandate. This is a new role here at Exabeam, and you will interact with and learn from some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity as we redefine the cybersecurity industry.

What you'll do: This is a very hands-on role. You and our Chief Strategy Officer will partner closely to build, prioritize and execute tasks supporting key initiatives such as anticipating trends and changes in our industry, identifying new market opportunities, analyzing and mitigating threats to the business, and improving our market position. Specifically, you will:

    • Brainstorm and collaborate with CSO on strategic proposals
    • Research and analyze the broader industry to power data-driven initiatives
    • Synthetize complex topics into a cohesive story
    • Help manage and grow existing initiatives such as the XDR Alliance
    • Define and track metrics to measure progress on key activities
    • You’ll also collaborate with one or more cross functional teams as we work together to reach business goals. A few ideas we have in mind are:
    • Marketing and the authoring of content, validation of messaging and positioning, and amplification of our industry voice (e.g. social, events & community)
    • Sales teams and evangelization of strategic customers
    • Channel and Partner teams, and trusted relationships with key partners (e.g. S.I.’s and MSSPs)
    • Additional duties as needed for the business and team

What we look for: We want to get to know you! What motivates you to come into the office, or log in, every day? What accomplishments are you most proud of? Here’s a glimpse of some of your attributes:

    • You are curious and love to learn
    • You can synthetize complex topics in simple ways
    • You think strategically but can also deliver systematically
    • You have excellent writing and presentation skills, and a great attention to details
    • You love to collaborate with other teams, yet can work solo on other tasks
    • You may also have one or more of the following experiences:
    • You have built, managed and/or operated strategic initiatives
    • You have driven or were key in some interesting change management projects
    • You understand the cybersecurity landscape, including customer needs and buying patterns, vendor landscape and cyber trends
    • You know how products and tools are built, and you like influencing the creation process
    • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or computer sciences, or equivalent professional experience

    • We understand this isn’t a “one size fits all” role. The team at Exabeam is happy to train you, coach you, and empower you to deliver the exceptional.
