We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Strategy Project Administrator on our Strategy team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Strategy Project Administrator, you will support the operational, financial and strategy planning and performance management across the AMA mission business units. Support the VP in leading the logistics and process, participate in identifying and pursuing mission activities to evaluate, assist in developing the project framework, and produce the final assessment and report. Responsible for the administration and coordination of assigned projects of the AMA mission units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Project Planning Support

  • Assist and/or lead in developing business plan proposals for new Mission business initiatives. This includes market analysis, financial forecasting, benchmarking, rationale, and justification regarding fit with AMA strategic plan and mission.
  • Create and maintain project plans, report status, track and resolve issues and ensure proper implementation and follow-up.
  • Serves as project lead for new and ongoing projects. Project example includes assessing the non-financial value of mission initiatives.
    Assist in developing foundational models for measuring and quantifying mission impact.
  • Create detailed timelines, ensuring proper sequencing of activities and resources to meet required deadlines.
  • Work with Business Unit leaders to identify mission impact projects across the the business units for analysis and other tasks as the initiative grows.
    Provide analytical and process support for business relationships as assigned.
  • Develop constructive relationships across the Mission units and support areas (OGC, Finance, etc.)

Operations & Administrative Support

  • Support the Director of Mission Operations in the administrative operations of the Mission Business Units, such as budgeting, financial analysis, talent and resource management, and other processes that cross multiple organizational units.
  • Assist with analytic tasks in areas such as business continuity planning, the capital request process, salary planning and budget submission.
  • Responsible for CLM entry and contract compliance.


Operational/Process Improvement

  • Support leadership in analysis of efficiency, standardization, and effectiveness in terms of BU operations and opportunities.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience, master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years project management experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience in general administration and operations; familiarity and/or experience in program evaluation.
  • Experience in association management or health care organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills at managing processes in a timely manner within a complex and rapidly changing environment.
  • Exhibits strong cross-functional communications and interpersonal skills, consensus-building, and negotiation skills for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and strategically oriented; strong analytical and critical thinking skills required.
  • Demonstrates strong grasp of capital and operational financial concepts and processes.
  • High proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products, including extensive experience with advanced modeling functions in Excel.
  • Strong sense of diplomacy, confidentiality and judgment in handling sensitive contract and/or personnel data.
