POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Distributed Generation Demand Response Lead involves developing and executing strategies to deploy distributed energy resources (DER), such as onsite natural gas generation and energy storage systems. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, managing deliverables, and collaborating with tenants and electric utility partners to implement demand-side management strategies and demand response programs. The position will also involve creating backup micro-grid strategies to meet emissions and capacity requirements for campus projects, coordinating with utilities on load letters and ramp schedules, and ensuring accurate utility billing for multi-tenant and landlord-controlled sites.
Additionally, this role supports retail energy contract structuring, maintains a database of utility rates, and builds strategic industry relationships. Staying informed on industry trends, policy changes, and technology developments is essential to guiding strategic decisions and supporting ongoing energy initiatives.
Responsibilities will include analysis and project delivery, supplier relationship management and thought-leadership.
