About the position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Training Hub, the Trainer will play a crucial role in supporting community partnerships and guiding them towards a shared vision of success. You will be responsible for designing and facilitating highly effective in-person and online offerings, leveraging adult learning and subject matter expertise in order to ensure a positive learning experience for participants and that learning objectives are met. This role requires expertise in collective impact and a deep understanding of adult learning and online learning techniques to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities and Duties

Training Delivery & Facilitation (60%)

  • Lead the design and execution of transformative, interactive, and innovative trainings for diverse audiences, including community members, place-based partnership staff and key partners · Champion StriveTogether’s methodologies to improve systems and outcomes by strategically engaging participants, addressing inquiries, facilitating dynamic discussions, and delivering prompt, insightful feedback
  • Continuously monitor and integrate emerging trends in facilitation and training techniques, adopting best practices to elevate the quality and impact of program delivery
  • Oversee and assess trainee progress, at both individual and program population level, synthesizing data to drive action around continuous program enhancement

Offering Development (40%)

  • Design comprehensive training content arcs and curricular plans for custom trainings, tailored to partners and delivered as part of a fee-for-service model
  • Spearhead collaborative initiatives with internal staff, instructional designers, and/or eLearning developers to create and facilitate offerings to StriveTogether partners and the place-based field
  • Evaluate, refine, and elevate StriveTogether’s current curricular offerings and content, integrating expert knowledge in Results-Based Facilitation (RBF) and the Results Count® Framework.
  • Analyze and synthesize data and participant feedback to formulate strategic recommendations for enhancing the design of new content and delivery of training; execute these recommendations to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with key leadership including the Director, Training Hub, the Director of Instructional Design, and Senior Director of Training Hub to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive organizational results
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration within StriveTogether teams to ensure consistency and alignment of offerings and in alignment with organizational priorities and brand standards

Qualifications and skills

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in training, coaching, and/or facilitating groups, both in-person and online, with a proven ability to drive measurable results.
  • Deep expertise in Results-Based Facilitation (RBF) and the Results Count® Framework, with hands-on experience applying these methodologies to build leadership capacity, advance equity, and drive systemic change.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, launching, and refining course materials that enhance learning experiences and build skills for collaborative leadership.
  • Strategic leadership experience in collective impact and collaborative improvement methodologies, particularly within education, workforce development, and/or community engagement.
  • A highly effective and engaging facilitator, adept at guiding diverse stakeholders, including funders, nonprofit leaders, and community members, toward shared goals and action.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and operational oversight skills, with experience managing high-stakes initiatives, budgets, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Proficiency in digital learning technologies and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), webinar software, and online engagement tools.
  • A data-driven problem solver, skilled in using qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate work, inform learning, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to StriveTogether’s mission and values, with a strong equity lens and a passion for systems transformation.

Location and Work Requirements

  • Ability to effectively use remote work technology, including Slack, Zoom and other technology
  • This role has the opportunity to be fully remote or based out of StriveTogether’s downtown Cincinnati headquarters.
  • Cincinnati employees have a hybrid work schedule and come into the office three times per week, with days chosen based on the needs of the role and team member preferences. The dog-friendly office features company-paid parking, a rooftop deck, and snacks and beverages.
  • Fully remote team members have access to DeskPass for community desk and meeting room options.
  • Up to 20% travel required

Compensation and Benefits

This is an exempt role. The anticipated salary range for this role is $82,000 - $93,000. The salary range accounts for Cincinnati-similar geographic regions and may be adjusted based on the cost of labor of the geographic market.

StriveTogether also provides competitive benefits and professional development opportunities including:

  • 15 days paid time off with an additional four personal days, eleven holidays and a five-day break at the end of the year. PTO increases to twenty days after five years and staff members can apply for sabbatical in their seventh year of employment.
  • Competitive health and dental benefits with up to $2,500 contribution from the organization for HSA for HDHP participants.
  • Automatic 3% employer contribution to retirement plan and up to another 1% based on a total of 5% employee contribution.
