Student Assistant Research & Analysis ecommerceDB (m/f/d)

Tasks

• Analyses and modelling of international webstores and marketplaces (e.g. deduction and estimation of relevant financial data from annual reports and financial statements)
• Conducting research on companies in the eCommerce sector
• Systematic data collection of characteristics of online stores (e.g. payment and delivery methods, contact data, product categories)
• Open desk research and preparation of relevant key figures for our database
• Help to develop new tools and methods in our working process

Requirements

• University student enrollment in one of the following subjects: economics and social sciences, politics, sociology, psychology, or a comparable field
• Independent and diligent work with a high degree of reliability
• Basic understanding of eCommerce and general economic contexts
• Familiarity with annual reports, balance sheets and financial terms is a plus
• Fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage
• Practical MS Excel experience is a plus
• Availability (with flexible working hours) to work 15–20 hours/week
• Ideally: Located in Hamburg
