The Role
The Business Development Representative will actively seek, establish, and maintain relationships with new customers to discuss business opportunities and validate customer potential. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating qualified sales pipeline via prospecting activities. On a daily basis, you will generate business through outbound lead activity and research companies to identify new prospects while maintaining a strong understanding of Studio Designer’s product offerings. This position will collaborate closely with multiple departments and will develop solutions for complex customer problems, win their trust, and secure long-term relationships.
This role is available remote, with the preferred working time zone being central or eastern.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and qualify potential customers through targeted research and outreach.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling and email campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our products and services.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that leads are properly handed off and nurtured through the sales process.
- Meet and exceed monthly activity and pipeline goals.
- Manage, track, and report sales activities and results using HubSpot.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitors.
- Make every potential Studio Designer customer happy with every interaction, regardless of deal size or likelihood of close.
- Delight every Studio Designer customer with each interaction and play a key role in developing the market reputation of Studio Designer as we scale and evolve our products to meet customers’ needs.

What You’ll Need
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience selling services to business organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Communications, Business Administration, or another relevant field.
- Prospecting experience (cold calls, emails, inmails, etc.)
- Capacity to be organized, self-motivated and driven to succeed and achieve goals, especially with remote supervision. This includes comfort in asking for help and openness to clear direction.
- Is comfortable and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
- A track record of being competitive, collaborative, methodical, and calm under pressure.
- Ability to resolve issues and problem solve in the moment.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships across your team and the company.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.
- Knowledge of the interior design industry is a plus.
- Ability to work or currently live in central or eastern time zones.
