About the Role
HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to be a subject-matter expert on the functionality and tooling necessary to create, manage and optimize the site. This role supports the customer experience from the moment the customer lands on Harman owned websites and 3P marketplace all the way through conversion, as well as post-purchase experience.
What You Will Do

- Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy of product data and promotional content on a daily basis.
- Partner with customer service team to improve customer site experience.
- Create site coupon codes for bulk orders and others for employees.
- Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to support promotional activity execution and create a seamless customer experience, such as: National promos and deals, Key seasonal events, Branding campaigns, Coupon execution, Creative asset uploads, Site copy.
- QA the site to find stock discrepancies.
What You Need
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
- Degree must be in related area of work with courses in Marketing and/or Business.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
- Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
What is Nice to Have
- Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
- Experience with DemandWare/Salesforce Commerce
- Attention to detail and organization skills – Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous complex projects and schedules
- Good collaboration skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with people and teams from all functions within Harman across all of our global regions
- Strong analytical skills with creative tendencies
What Makes You Eligible
- Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
- Must be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA (hybrid)
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability from May 22, 2023 through August 11, 2023 and be able to work 20-40 hours per week depending on workload
- Highly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Pay Rates based on Academic Status for the summer:
Freshman- $17.00
Sophomore- $19.00
Junior- $21.00
Senior- $23.00
Masters- $26.00
