Nav-Com Systems Designer

Sunreef Yachts, the world’s leading builder of custom luxury catamarans, is expanding its presence in the U.S. market and is seeking a skilled, forward-thinking, and detail-driven Nav-Com Systems Designer to join our elite team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge navigation and communication technologies, have experience designing integrated marine systems, and want to play a key role in shaping the future of luxury multihulls, this is a unique opportunity to work with an iconic brand at the forefront of innovation.


Your responsibilities:

  • Designing NAV-COM systems for super yacht vessels
  • Designing IT and intelligent control systems for Domotic systems on superyachts
  • Designing general ship electrical systems
  • Coordinating technical matters between departments, with the client, and with system suppliers
  • Selecting technical solutions and materials
  • Creating material lists
  • Preparing inquiries for the supply of systems or their components
  • Verifying documentation for ordered systems and coordinating them with other yacht systems
  • Preparing technical documentation, technical descriptions, and automation point lists
  • Project supervision during the yacht construction phase
  • If necessary, participating in tests, trials, and technical acceptance
  • Creating as-built documentation and user manuals

Our requirements:

  • Higher technical education in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, or naval systems
  • Experience as an independent designer of naval NAV-COM systems and other ship electrical systems
  • Knowledge of ship navigation and communication devices, as well as other ship electrical systems
  • Knowledge of control systems based on PLC/HMI
  • Experience in selecting components for NAV-COM systems and other ship electrical systems
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office software
  • Good command of the English language
